Packaging & Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)

Preparing for the Future of Sustainable Packaging

At Link Solutions, we actively support our customers in meeting the requirements of the European Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). PPWR introduces new requirements for packaging throughout its lifecycle, including substances of concern, packaging minimization, recyclability, recycled content, and future sustainability reporting obligations.

As the regulatory framework continues to evolve, we closely monitor legislative developments and work together with our suppliers to ensure that relevant compliance information is available and maintained.

Our Approach

To support PPWR compliance, Link Solutions:

  • Collects and evaluates supplier declarations and compliance documentation.
  • Reviews packaging materials for PFAS and heavy metals in accordance with PPWR Article 5 requirements.
  • Works with packaging suppliers to obtain material composition and environmental information.
  • Monitors regulatory updates and emerging guidance from EU authorities.
  • Continuously assesses opportunities to improve packaging sustainability and recyclability.
